Product Overview

A robust, high-torque laying-up solution for assembling multiple insulated cores into a compact, round LV power cable conductor.

The 1250 / 1+6 Laying-up Cabling Machine is designed to strand and lay up large-section Low Voltage power cables (typically 2-core, 3-core, 4-core, 5-core and 3+1 / 4+1 configurations) with copper or aluminum conductors from 25 mm² up to 240 mm². Built around a 1+6 planetary (cage) stranding architecture with 1250 mm bobbin capacity, it combines a rigid welded-steel frame, precision bearings and a fully synchronized servo-driven haul-off to guarantee uniform lay length, round cable geometry and minimal inter-core clearance — the three parameters that decide LV cable performance.

The machine is equally suited for new production lines and for modernization (retrofit) of existing cabling plants, and integrates seamlessly with extrusion lines, armouring machines and take-up units to form a complete LV cable manufacturing system.

1+6 Planetary Cage with 1250 mm Bobbins
Six outer bays rotate around one central (neutral) bay. Each bay carries a 1250 mm × 630 mm insulated-core bobbin up to 2,000 kg, with individual tension control (5–50 N adjustable) to prevent core stretching or deformation.

Variable Pitch / Lay Length
Stepless lay length from 60 mm to 400 mm (left-hand or right-hand), set digitally on the HMI — no gear change required. Dedicated recipes for 2, 3, 4 and 5-core cables.

Synchronized Servo Haul-off & Take-up
Double-capstan haul-off (Ø500 mm) with encoder feedback keeps linear speed locked to cage RPM. The 2500 mm portal take-up (or 1600 mm shaft-type) auto-traverses and maintains constant cable tension through the die.

Automatic Filler & Binding (Optional)
Integrated filler tape / jute yarn pay-off and polyester binder tape station fill inter-core gaps, producing a truly round cable cross-section and reducing PVC/XLPE consumption in the subsequent sheath extrusion.

PLC + HMI Control with Recipe Memory
Industrial PLC with 10" touch HMI and inverter drives. Stores up to 99 cable recipes (cores, pitch, direction, speed, tension). Real-time alarms, hour-meter and production counter included.

Safety & Ergonomics
Full mesh guard with interlocked doors, emergency stops at both operator stations, soft-start/soft-stop, automatic brake on power loss, LED work lighting and a pneumatically operated bobbin loading trolley.
