The Tubular Stranding Machine 630/1+6 is a high-speed, torsion-free stranding system designed for manufacturers of prestressed concrete (PC) steel strand per ASTM A416 / A779, EN 10138, GB/T 5224 and ISO 6934-3. It lays six outer wires (wound on 630 mm bobbins carried inside the rotating tube) around a stationary central wire, producing the standard 1×7 strand structure used in post-tensioned and pre-tensioned concrete construction.

Because the pay-off reels rotate with the tube rather than counter-rotating, the machine imparts zero reverse twist to the individual wires. The result is a strand with uniform lay pitch, consistent diameter, low relaxation and excellent bond performance with concrete — the three properties that determine whether a strand passes tensile and stress-relaxation testing.

True Tubular, Torsion-Free Kinematics
Six 630 mm bobbins housed inside a dynamically balanced steel tube. Wires pay off without reversing, so no residual twist, no "spring" in the finished strand, no wire damage.

Hardened & Ground Gearing
Change-gear set for lay pitch selection, plus stepless variant on request. Pitch accuracy ≤ ±1%, repeatable reel-to-reel and batch-to-batch.

Individual Wire Tensioning
Magnetic-powder or servo-controlled pay-off tension, 5–60 N per wire, drift ≤ ±5% over 8 h. Eliminates loose outer wires and diameter fluctuation.

Full-Length Safety Tube
Rotating tube enclosed by a stationary steel guard with interlocking access doors, zero-speed door release and dual-channel emergency stop (ISO 13849-1, Cat. 3).

High-Speed Capability
Cage speed up to 1200 rpm (product and balance-dependent). Double-bearing support, ISO 21940 G6.3 dynamic balancing, vibration ≤ 2.8 mm/s at full speed.

PLC + HMI Control
Real-time rpm, lay pitch, line speed, metre count, tension and alarm display. 50 product recipes, Ethernet/Modbus TCP, OPC-UA optional for MES linkage.
